Manhole Cover
Lifter
Used for lifting of all types of carriageway covers.
Requires much less effort than lifting covers manually.
Includes a handle for operating the hydraulic ram
and another for manoeuvering the lifter. It can develop
a 1.5 ton breakout force to move even the most awkward
manhole cover. Can be simply assembled in under 30
seconds and requires neither skill or strength.
The lifter is mounted on three nylon wheels providing
good stability during lifting and mobility whilst
the cover is in the raised position. Lifting is acheived
by means of a hydraulic ram, this is operated by a
pumping action, lowering is acheived by a key-release
valve. For moving over rough ground, a handle for
lifting is provided.
